About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage in bidirectional scientific and medical information exchange with Scientific Leaders
  • Provide balanced, factual scientific information on non-product areas and respond to scientific questions, including questions about Company products
  • Develop professional relationships with national and regional Scientific Leaders
  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence as a company medical contact
  • Address scientific questions and direct out-of-scope inquiries to appropriate company resources
  • Maintain current knowledge of the scientific and clinical environment in the relevant therapeutic area
  • Initiate discussions with Scientific Leaders and potential investigators regarding scientific/data exchange, research strategies, study concepts, scientific merit, and qualifications
  • Enhance understanding of investigator-sponsored research foundations and goals
  • Identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention
  • Recommend study sites and identify potential investigators for Phase II-IV clinical development programs
  • Conduct Site Initiation Visits and support protocol leadership with Global Clinical Trial Operations
  • Address investigator questions and provide information about Company-sponsored clinical studies
  • Engage in scientific congresses and medical meetings and facilitate scientific and data exchange
  • Gather feedback and insights on medical or scientific needs, priorities, and concerns of Scientific Leaders and patients
  • Serve as a role model and support onboarding and sharing of therapeutic expertise
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and help create, lead, and retain the workforce

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond that obtained in the terminal degree program
  • Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders
  • Dedication to scientific excellence with a strong focus on scientific education and dialogue
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills
  • Thorough comprehension of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote)
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms
  • Desire to contribute to an environment of belonging and empowerment
  • Consistent adherence to field and corporate policies, GMSA strategy, field SOPs, GCP guidelines, and administrative/operational responsibilities
  • Candidates must reside within the territory covering GA, FL, SC, AL, MS, and LA
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory
  • Valid driving license required
  • VISA sponsorship unavailable
  • Preferred: field-based medical experience, with GYN Oncology strongly preferred
  • Preferred: research experience
  • Preferred: demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication
