About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as Chief of Staff to the Regional Head, GCTO Region, providing end-to-end business and portfolio oversight
  • Support strategy development with the Regional Head and regional leadership team
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align teams on project goals, timelines, and deliverables
  • Prepare dashboards, status reports, and leadership materials communicating progress, risks, and issues
  • Liaise among regional leadership, Clinical Research Directors, regional teams, and key stakeholders to clarify priorities and resolve conflicts
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and resource gaps; identify risks and drive follow-up actions
  • Develop and manage the regional project portfolio, tracking realization goals and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements
  • Oversee regional clinical trial allocation and coordinate allocation proposals
  • Collaborate with regional and country leadership to develop clinical research strategies
  • Define, track, and align performance metrics and quality standards in project management operations
  • Integrate capacity needs into country allocation discussions
  • Guide project management teams on regional processes and tools
  • Lead issue escalation and trend analysis across studies and therapeutic areas
  • Facilitate resolution and action plans with HQ, Clinical Research Directors, and delegates
  • Foster cultural diversity awareness and address cross-country business needs
  • Define and execute regional priorities across countries
  • Provide insights into operational strategy, functional areas, and networks
  • Share best practices and drive alignment across GCTO
  • Lead and manage the regional team, including the ROL, ROSL, and ROA

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in life science discipline
  • AI Certification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical operations, preferably within a Sponsor environment
  • Experience managing studies in different therapeutic areas and phases, from study initiation through completion
  • Understanding of inspection readiness
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining networks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Willingness to take accountability for actions and drive results within the region
  • Comprehensive understanding of ICH GCP guidelines and global, regional, and local regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in local languages is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Required skills: Business Acumen, Change Leadership, Clinical Operations, Data Analytics, Digital Fluency, Innovation, New Technology Integration, Personnel Resource Management, Strategic Thinking
