About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee end-to-end operations and management of an assigned RIIM sub-unit
  • Collaborate with department leadership to define, execute, and govern a harmonized Regulatory digital strategy
  • Lead internal employees, contractors, and external vendors across day-to-day business systems, operational processes, and innovative capabilities
  • Ensure strict regulatory compliance, quality governance, and proactive risk mitigation
  • Manage subunit finances, including vendor contracts, purchase orders, and budget administration
  • Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning
  • Act as a horizontal platform integrator across RIIM business systems
  • Drive platform lifecycle management, releases, enhancements, and cross-system coordination
  • Maintain governance frameworks for consistency, compliance, and performance
  • Partner with Business System Owners, stakeholders, IT, and vendors such as Veeva on platform roadmaps, AI capabilities, and innovation priorities
  • Optimize platforms for scalability, usability, regulatory compliance, and alignment across systems, data, and processes
  • Own Regulatory systems Business Continuity Plans, including readiness, scenario planning, and incident coordination
  • Lead systems adoption, user analytics, and insights generation
  • Define and monitor KPIs for systems usage, adoption, and value delivery
  • Use analytics to identify adoption gaps, quantify ROI, and prioritize enhancements and investments
  • Enable continuous improvement through automation and AI
  • Provide Business System Ownership for cross-cutting RIIM tools and capabilities as applicable
  • Translate GRACS Digital Strategy into execution
  • Lead system communications, release readiness, and change enablement
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment across functions and regions
  • Drive cohesive user experience across regulatory platforms
  • Ensure system capabilities support designed processes and support the Global Process Owner model

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA or BS in Scientific, Business Operations, or Information Technology related degrees; minimum MS or equivalent
  • 10+ years working within a Regulatory operations role
  • 5+ years leading teams and a hybrid organization of employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Significant experience in Veeva RIM operations
  • Experience with innovation strategy, implementation, and operations of digital solutions in a regulated environment
  • Expertise in regulatory capabilities, operations, and business processes
  • Strong experience working closely with Functional Business area users, IT, Finance, HR, and vendors
  • Ability to drive CAPA/NCIR resolutions, partner audits, and Health Authority Inspections
  • Ability to represent the organization at internal and external forums on RIM-related topics
  • Executive presence, including writing and oral presentation
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work in cross-functional and international environments
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory processes with a technology-process optimization mindset
  • Ability to recruit, train, and develop staff, motivate others, and drive continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to operate in a matrix-managed environment and support staff in that environment
  • Skills in business alignment, business process design, contingency planning, decision making, governance frameworks, investment analysis, legal compliance, negotiation, people leadership, project planning, regulatory affairs management, regulatory communications and compliance, stakeholder engagement and management, strategic planning, strategic thinking, and strategy deployment
