About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enable information management across data flow, data products, governance, DI&A services, AI, automation, book of business, business systems validation, analytics, and advanced analytics
  • Shape multi-year strategy, organization design, and governance models for enterprise-scale programs and portfolios
  • Align investments, roadmaps, and operating models with organizational objectives
  • Design and lead the Program Management operating model, role architecture, and communication pathways
  • Lead resource strategy with therapeutic area and capacity leaders
  • Establish vendor strategy and governance, including performance dashboards, commercial guardrails, and executive business reviews
  • Set the learning and development agenda and champion change management
  • Translate organizational objectives into sequenced programs, funding requests, and measurable targets
  • Define KPI/KQI strategy and publish executive dashboards
  • Oversee PM organization budgets, business cases, prioritization, and ROI tracking
  • Drive adoption of new operating models and digital capabilities across global functions
  • Own governance models, decision rights, escalation ladders, and executive reviews
  • Represent assigned scope in enterprise risk management and compliance reviews
  • Anticipate emerging risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Build senior stakeholder networks and remove systemic blockers
  • Manage strategic partnerships with external organizations, industry consortia, and regulatory bodies
  • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and in external publications
  • Develop senior program leaders and cross-functional teams through coaching and mentoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 12 years’ experience in Program Management; OR Advanced Degree (Masters or Doctorate) and minimum of 10 years’ experience in Program Management
  • Preferred experience includes 3 years in clinical research, data management, or information management (or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise in a relevant discipline
  • Expertise in information management and systems, organization design, role architecture, spans and layers, operating models, and scaling patterns
  • Experience defining multi-year strategy and portfolios and governing investments with measurable ROI
  • Experience owning standards and process governance models with executive reviews and escalation ladders
  • Resource-strategy leadership with therapeutic area and capacity partners, including PSRM and location, capability, and supplier strategy
  • Enterprise-level vendor strategy and governance expertise
  • KPI and KQI strategy design and analytics capability with enterprise dashboards and benefits cadence
  • Expertise in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision-making
  • Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and compliance for technology deployment
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration across cross-functional and global teams
  • Cross-functional leadership through influence and ability to motivate geographically diverse teams
  • Strong judgment, accountability, escalation management, and consensus-building
  • Ability to recruit and retain talent and plan resourcing across regions and sourcing models
