About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic direction and governance for clinical data management within the assigned country
  • Ensure consistent data-management delivery, quality, compliance, resource optimization, and operational performance
  • Represent geographic and functional perspectives in leadership teams, enterprise forums, and audits
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations with GDMS, GCTO, and enterprise support functions
  • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and decisions to executives
  • Lead operating model and optimization strategy for the assigned geography
  • Drive capability development, technology adoption, innovation, automation, and risk-based data-management practices
  • Serve as GDMS Site Head for the relevant country when assigned
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other country and regional support functions
  • Coordinate workforce planning, resource management, operational performance, risk, escalation, and capacity-management processes
  • Ensure regulatory, business, labor, inspection-readiness, and operational-control compliance
  • Lead complex cross-functional workstreams from design through implementation and value realization
  • Manage OKRs, dashboards, metrics governance, performance reviews, scenario planning, and business-continuity playbooks
  • Provide decision-ready updates and status reports to leadership and partners
  • Set objectives, assign work, coach employees, conduct reviews, recognize performance, and develop career plans
  • Lead recruiting, hiring, performance management, and sensitive employee-relations matters with HR
  • Coordinate on-shore, off-shore, and contingent resources
  • Manage operating budget and optimize spending
  • Represent assigned capability on the CDM leadership team
  • Define capability strategy, governance, roadmap, tools, processes, and skills
  • Drive global rollout through playbooks, guidance, and implementation support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent educational experience) in Life Science, Data, or Information Technology with 13 years of experience in data management, including 5 years of people management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent educational experience) in any other field with 18 years of experience in data management, including 5 years of people management experience
  • Advanced Degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Life Science, Data, Information Technology, Project Management, or Business with 10 years of related industry experience in data management, including 5 years of people management experience
  • Advanced Degree (Master's or Doctorate) in any other field with 15 years of related industry experience in data management, including 5 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical data management, clinical trial operations, and managing large diverse global teams
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end clinical data management processes and systems
  • Deep knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, quality frameworks, and inspection/audit processes
  • Experience implementing risk-based and digital data practices
  • Knowledge of geographic risk, escalation, and capacity management processes
  • Ability to use analytical and forecasting tools, dashboards, and capacity models
  • Ability to define and enforce standards for data integration, reuse, and scalability
  • Financial stewardship, including budget ownership and workforce cost modeling
  • Knowledge of local-subsidiary operations and compliance expectations
  • Expertise in data-product governance
  • Ability to execute inspection-readiness practices
  • Experience driving clinical data collection design, validation, and delivery
  • Strategic leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Change leadership and executive communication skills
  • Strong people leadership, mentoring, and development capabilities
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driving license: No
