About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage integrated project teams delivering critical assets on time and within budget
  • Manage low- or medium-segment capital project portfolios or a single high-segment capital project from evaluation and scope development through execution and completion
  • Coordinate equipment and facility design, material selection, and installation proposals with design leaders and external FEL partners
  • Participate in equipment reviews and installation, including FAT and SAT
  • Manage meetings and drive project goals
  • Ensure safe, efficient project designs that meet engineering, compliance, GES safety, and local standards
  • Prepare and implement SHE plans, including peer reviews, accident investigation, contractor safety management, and improvement actions
  • Lead project execution plan development
  • Verify project scopes provide effective business solutions
  • Align business requirements and goals with company financial objectives
  • Manage projects through effective design strategies
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Manage project cost budgeting and control
  • Manage schedule development and control and coordinate detailed schedule development
  • Provide construction management oversight
  • Implement change management and control
  • Manage communications, reporting, and information distribution
  • Plan and mitigate project risks
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports with corrective actions
  • Manage commissioning, qualification, contract administration, and project close-out
  • Build relationships with Operations, Quality, Technology, Maintenance, Safety, and other cross-functional areas
  • Assemble and manage internal and external resources to develop scope and execute projects
  • Travel to support projects at plant sites across the Americas as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience executing/delivering a variety of capital and/or expense projects
  • Experience managing an integrated project team to deliver critical assets on time and within a prescribed budget
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver concise, effective, and organized project status and funding presentations
  • Outstanding decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated with strengths in change management and team alignment
  • Ability to seek out information and execution expertise
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment sensitive to business needs
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Successful candidates must be able to work at Rahway, NJ; West Point, PA; and Wilmington, DE
  • Experience with Lean Project Delivery Methodologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with bioprocessing equipment/unit operations is a plus
  • No visa sponsorship
  • Valid driving license is not required
