About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create strategic and operational plans for downstream clinical supply activities for assigned studies
  • Plan material availability and movement through depot networks, distribution, and clinical sites
  • Participate on Clinical Trial Teams and collaborate with cross-functional representatives on timelines and supply strategy
  • Coordinate with GCS Logistics and Trade, Distribution, Operations, Global Clinical Trial Operations, and Global Development Quality
  • Establish timelines for clinical supply needs and ensure robust packaging and distribution signals for Clinical Finished Goods
  • Analyze clinical study supply-chain risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Use IRT, Microsoft PowerApps, SWMS, Veeva, MEDS, MyLearning, Microsoft applications, SAP, and other systems to manage clinical supplies
  • Maintain a consolidated Clinical Finished Goods forecast in SAP
  • Report clinical supply-chain incidents, gather metrics, and participate in root-cause analysis
  • Process change controls according to GCS procedures and quality-system requirements
  • Author and process deviation records and support investigations
  • Support process-improvement initiatives, subject-matter-expert activities, SOP/BP development and maintenance, and cross-functional projects
  • Support regulatory agency inspections for assigned trials
  • Solve unstructured problems, make risk-based decisions, influence portfolio decisions, and execute assigned work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a scientific discipline, or High School Diploma with 10+ years equivalent industry experience in Pharmaceutical Clinical Supply
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, coordination, and processing of supply chain activities, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and clinical customer relationship management
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems and software, such as SAP or Oracle
  • Knowledge of demand planning principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, demand planning tools, and inventory management systems
  • Proven record in project/portfolio management
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) highly desirable
  • Knowledge of order management, supply chain operations, and document control preferred
  • US and Puerto Rico residency required
  • No visa sponsorship available
