About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support credit analysis and management of the Restaurant & Hospitality Finance business unit
  • Perform due diligence on new transactions and scheduled evaluations of the existing loan portfolio
  • Support evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of terms and credit agreements with Sponsor clients
  • Prepare detailed credit analyses and credit applications in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidance
  • Evaluate company-specific, industry, and regulatory risks, historical and projected operating performance, and capital structure
  • Perform financial modeling for credit applications and quarterly review presentations
  • Support coverage teams with idea generation, pitch materials, and client meetings
  • Support syndication strategy, lender presentations, and liaison with participant lenders
  • Coordinate and communicate account information across organizational constituencies
  • Monitor relevant industry conditions using internal and external sources
  • Oversee facility closing procedures, including operations and documentation
  • Prepare call reports and assist with senior management reporting
  • Manage compliance and execution processes, including profitability analysis, committee approvals, legal due diligence, KYC, and closing checklists
  • Support development and analysis of financing structures and strategies with Industry Coverage, Capital Markets, and Syndications
  • Support credit analysis for structured credit transactions
  • Communicate with the credit approval division regarding final hold-level strategies
  • Evaluate transaction and group-level ratings and exposure levels
  • Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CFA candidacy is a plus
  • Undergraduate student graduating in Spring 2027
  • Work experience in financial institutions or equivalent credit risk related function analyzing corporate customers
  • Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • GPA of 3.3 or above is preferred
  • Recommended coursework in finance, accounting or economics
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
