About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with senior technical team members, developers, technology teams, product teams, and business teams across MUFG
  • Conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions
  • Perform complex application design and programming using Java, React, REST, microservices, MQ, AWS/Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins
  • Perform integrations between on-premises and vendor-hosted applications
  • Provide technical guidance focused on user experience, security, application performance, and integrations
  • Deliver projects following continuous delivery practices with automated unit, integration, and performance testing pipelines
  • Sustain and enhance application functionality, performance, and security standards
  • Coordinate, integrate, and support third-party software solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years of design and development experience in application devices messaging, enterprise web applications, and integration services
  • 4–6 years developing across the application stack: front-end/UI, microservices, API, JPA, SQL, and MQ
  • 3+ years of programming experience in React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML
  • 3+ years building and deploying applications on OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS/Cloud infrastructure
  • 3–5 years working with software development methodologies such as Agile, RAID, and Waterfall
  • 2–3 years working with messaging systems such as MQ and Kafka
  • 2–3 years of application design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of platform user-interface features
  • Experience building and deploying applications on OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience integrating and implementing third-party vendor applications
  • Experience creating end-to-end data pipelines and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and databases including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience identifying and debugging on-premises and cloud technology applications
  • Experience implementing and maintaining secured messaging, web applications, RESTful APIs, middleware, batch processing, and third-party integrations
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Banking or financial services experience is preferred
  • Visa sponsorship/support is based on business needs; sponsorship/support is not anticipated for this position
