About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide PMO support for global, multi-regional technology projects
  • Partner with Project Managers to track project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and overall progress
  • Monitor and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items, escalating when necessary
  • Identify and coordinate interdependencies across multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain project status reports, dashboards, scorecards, and governance materials
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders across Tokyo, EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
  • Support steering committee meetings, status reviews, and executive reporting
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and organizational governance requirements
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation and transparency across project portfolios

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in a Project Manager, PMO, Project Coordinator, or related role within IT or technology organizations
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including risk management, issue management, dependency management, status reporting, and stakeholder management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting global or cross-regional projects within large multinational organizations preferred
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English, written and spoken, preferred
  • Background in banking or financial services preferred
  • Experience using JIRA, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
