About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with deal referral sources and business owners
- Identify, qualify, and generate new prospect leads
- Manage client relationships and oversee all client and counter-party communication
- Lead a specific practice or product area, as applicable, and develop thought leadership in target sectors
- Oversee all aspects of transactions
- Work closely with junior bankers and clients throughout all phases of deal origination and execution
- Assist with firm-building activities, including training, recruiting, and mentoring
- Benefit from deal flow opportunities from sponsor coverage, institutional referral relationships, and the parent company’s coverage team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in sell-side M&A advisory
- Minimum 5+ years of industry-specific M&A experience
- Deep understanding of industry-specific clients
- Extensive record and experience originating and executing M&A transactions in a specific industry group
- Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier school
- Team player willing to take an integral role in Intrepid’s growth
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding, and fast-paced environment
- Ability to engage with prospects and intermediaries, develop relationships, and work seamlessly as a bridge for introducing other senior bankers into these relationships
- FINRA Series 7, 63 or 79 license, Series 24
