About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the Chief Credit Officer to translate strategic objectives into detailed product and engineering blueprints for AI initiatives
- Integrate financial regulations, fair lending requirements, adverse action rules, and model explainability standards into AI design briefs
- Conduct discovery with subject matter experts to map and reimagine current processes through AI workflows
- Serve as day-to-day product authority across active initiatives and make technical trade-off decisions within approved frameworks
- Lead interdisciplinary teams across Data Science, Data Engineering, IT infrastructure, and business functions
- Build, coach, and manage a team of Junior AI Product Managers
- Act as primary product interface for external engineering vendors and evaluate architecture proposals and technical deliverables
- Establish acceptance metrics, output tests, QC frameworks, HITL workflows, deterministic rule checks, and LLM-as-judge evaluations
- Collaborate with Data Science leads on evaluation rubrics, golden datasets, and accuracy thresholds
- Build stakeholder trust across Sales, Credit, Operations, and Finance to drive adoption
- Communicate programme metrics, delivery risks, and strategic trade-offs to business leaders and executives
- Oversee product authority, technical execution, and operational delivery across concurrent AI projects
- Report directly to the Chief Credit Officer
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–12 years in product management
- Demonstrated track record of taking AI-enabled solutions from concept to production deployment
- Experience contributing to the design of AI solutions and participating in architecture decisions
- Strong executive presence and ability to lead cross-functional meetings with senior stakeholders
- Prior experience in fintech, lending, or a credit-adjacent product environment strongly preferred
- Ability to extract process intelligence from domain SMEs and translate it into AI transformation design briefs
- Experience managing specialist external engineering partners through a full build cycle
- Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent AI initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related technical discipline is required
- Deep familiarity with modern LLM architecture, agentic orchestration patterns, confidence-based decision routing, hallucination mitigation, and golden dataset benchmarking
- Working knowledge of FCRA, ECOA, Regulation B, auditability requirements, and model governance in regulated industries
- Ability to interview domain experts and uncover undocumented edge cases
- Vision and ability to think outside of the box is mandatory
- Ability to lead functional heads, engineers, and data scientists with confidence and authority
- Ability to manage resistance to change while maintaining end-user trust
- Ability to communicate programme health, risks, and trade-offs to executives
