About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead discovery and design for active AI projects
- Work closely with business teams and manage execution alongside specialist engineering partners
- Conduct structured discovery sessions with functional SMEs to map processes, decision points, pain points, exceptions, volumes, and cycle times
- Establish current-state metrics including cycle times, error rates, manual touchpoints, and cost of failure
- Extract process edge cases, informal workarounds, and undocumented exceptions
- Test design hypotheses with the AI Product Director
- Reimagine business processes from scratch using AI and author detailed solution design briefs
- Define AI capabilities, inputs, outputs, logic, QC frameworks, and engineering acceptance criteria
- Research and identify specialist engineering partners and recommend engagement models
- Produce go/no-go recommendations with current-state baselines, proposed AI designs, partner recommendations, and cost-benefit framing
- Manage specialist engineering partners through build cycles, including reviews, progress tracking, and schedule management
- Review partner deliverables against design briefs and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate iterative review, feedback, and refinement with engineering partners, QC, and functional stakeholders
- Design QC frameworks, evaluation rubrics, golden datasets, accuracy thresholds, human review processes, deterministic checks, and LLM-as-judge rubrics
- Coordinate shadow runs comparing AI output with current processes
- Build end-user adoption plans with functional heads
- Track post-deployment metrics against pre-implementation baselines and surface feedback for model refinement
- Report to the AI Product Director and operate with day-to-day autonomy inside the pod
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience in product management, product analysis, or a closely related role, with direct exposure to AI-enabled products
- Ability to lead structured discovery with domain experts, extract process intelligence, surface undocumented edge cases, and translate findings into clear design briefs
- Prior experience at an AI-native fintech, lending company, or high-velocity product environment strongly preferred
- Experience authoring process maps, design briefs, requirements documents, or specifications
- Ability to manage ambiguity, structure undefined problems, and own a phase of work end-to-end
- Experience coordinating with external engineering vendors or technology partners is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is required
- Working familiarity with LLM-enabled products and AI agents
- Ability to discuss AI product design and deployment substantively with engineering partners
- Ability to identify when a proposed solution does not match design intent
