About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs and Node.js/TypeScript microservices
Collaborate on scalable system design, applying Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Model and optimize queries in NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Redis, as well as relational databases
Implement advanced security layers, including OAuth2 and JWT
Lead code reviews, ensuring Clean Code practices and design patterns
Ensure high coverage of unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests
Monitor production applications, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvements
Work closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to refine technical requirements and deliver value
Actively contribute to the evolution of the technology architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 5 years of backend development experience, with a focus on the Node.js ecosystem
Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
Advanced experience with NestJS (preferred) or Express.js
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Proficiency in Docker and containerization, with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies)
Proficiency with testing tools such as Jest or Vitest
Proficiency with Git (Gitflow), SOLID principles, and design patterns
Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs in production environments
Willingness and interest in working with autonomous development agents, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) — a plus
Knowledge of Kubernetes — a plus
Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus — a plus
Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks for the Node.js ecosystem, such as LangChain.js or LlamaIndex.ts — a plus
Practical knowledge of the RAG workflow — a plus
Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector — a plus
Understanding of advanced concepts such as Function Calling and the creation of AI Agent-based workflows — a plus
