About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create illustrations across a wide range of styles for clients
Work within established illustration languages and extend them naturally
Create moodboards and gather references to establish creative direction
Present and explain creative thinking and references to clients and teams
Develop distinct, ownable illustration styles aligned with client brands
Build reusable illustration systems, rules, and style guides
Document styles so the wider team can use and extend them

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven 5 years full-time industry experience as an illustrator
Portfolio we can access
Must have a minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EDT timezone
Strong fundamentals in composition, color, and visual storytelling
Ability to create illustrations across a wide range of styles
Ability to adapt illustrations to each client's brand, audience, and tone
Ability to work within and extend established illustration languages
Ability to develop ownable illustration styles
Ability to build and document reusable illustration systems and style guides
Familiarity with new tools and technologies, including AI
Ability to meet accessibility standards for web and digital products
