Key responsibilities & impact

Liaise between PEL program development staff and DCHS accounts payable and contracts unit
Coordinate and process new contracts, amendments, change notifications, budget approvals and invoices
Develop and maintain budget and invoice tracking systems using complex spreadsheet formulas
Prepare operational and technical reports on contract budgets, spending and invoicing
Train and consult program development staff on contracts, renewals, budget review and approvals
Represent the program with service providers, vendors, County staff, community organizations and the public
Advance racial equity through relationships with funded partners and process improvements
Collaborate with subject matter experts and DCHS Business Services to approve contracted-agency budgets

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent education and/or practical experience
Two years of experience working in human services and/or public sector contract administration
Must pass a criminal background check
Fluent in Spanish for both written and verbal communication
Advanced understanding of culture, customs and norms of Latinx communities
Knowledge of accounting methods and fiscal compliance related to public sector contracts
Knowledge of reviewing and approving cost reimbursement budgets and complex invoices
Ability to build and maintain pivot tables, formulas, queries, data lookups and data importing
Ability to identify and address personal biases
Advanced knowledge and skill in advancing racial equity
Ability to promote respect, inclusiveness and appreciation of diverse perspectives
