About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for core HR operations, including employee lifecycle activities
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in HR systems and files
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, orientation sessions, and related documentation
  • Support performance management and benefits processes
  • Provide administrative support for U.S. and Canadian payroll processing
  • Process and track payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, and deductions
  • Review payroll reports and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain payroll records, tracking spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with compliance documentation, audits, and reporting
  • Prepare HR reports, trackers, and summaries
  • Serve as a point of contact for general HR questions
  • Support internal HR communications and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with employee communications, engagement activities, feedback gathering, and employer branding initiatives
  • Coordinate and administer employee training programs
  • Support development of training materials and reference guides
  • Manage learning calendars and training communications
  • Track training completion, certifications, and participation metrics
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and HR leadership on initiatives and projects
  • Perform other HR administrative duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR
  • Prior payroll experience in the US and Canada preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems preferred; willingness to learn new technologies
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
