About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and manage scalable, highly available applications and services
Support product feature development and growing traffic
Provide a consistent and effective platform experience for customers
Ensure the customer-facing platform is resilient
Write new application code supporting product features
Collaborate with the team to execute product goals and technical roadmaps
Develop user-facing product features in Elixir and Go backend services and React frontend
Build and scale the billing and usage platform supporting all Mux products
Work on identity and account management product features
Work on distributed notifications, including application webhooks and alerting features
Take ownership of critical product infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience
Strong engineering skills across multiple platforms and environments
Solid engineering fundamentals
Track record of solving hard problems including job scheduling, concurrency, and scaling
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
Experience building REST APIs
Experience with Elixir, or Go, Python, Ruby, Node, or other general-purpose programming languages
Experience deploying complex applications on cloud platforms using a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes
Experience working with SQL databases
Ability to work in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments and across many different areas
Video experience is a plus but not required
Eligibility to work in the US
Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship is required now or in the future
