About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and develop Digital Delivery practices leveraged by project teams in the office and field
  • Support model-based project management, virtual construction workflows, and construction technology deployments
  • Provide leadership to project teams and drive project requirements, primarily supporting self-perform processes
  • Produce models, drawings, layouts, sketches, engineering designs, construction fabrications, and quantity takeoffs using BIM/CAD software
  • Collaborate with design professionals and project participants during modeling, coordination, and construction processes
  • Develop and maintain 3D model content supporting self-perform Process Systems
  • Develop and maintain digital parts libraries, catalogs, and specifications
  • Develop detailed construction models and produce fabrication isometrics and orthographics for process piping systems
  • Support onsite construction teams in implementing VDC/Digital Delivery applications and practices, including Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality
  • Educate project teams on software and workflows used throughout design and construction
  • Participate in and lead BIM-based trade coordination with construction teams and subcontractors
  • Review trade partner BIM/VDC qualifications and advise project teams during VDC services buyout
  • Review relevant submittals to support modeling efforts
  • Apply process/yard piping knowledge across underground, aboveground, gravity, and pressurized piping systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related technical degree plus 2 yrs of related engineering or technical experience; OR MS degree in Engineering/other highly technical field plus 1 yr engineering/related technical experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional level application experience with Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks, or similar process pipe modeling software
  • Hands-on experience using Autodesk-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) toolsets and work practices
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, including baseline schedules, subcontractor schedules, schedule updating, progress analysis, compliance processes, and audits
  • Experience with reality capture tools and practices, including laser scanning, drone data capture, and/or point cloud generation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other normal business applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Solid knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings
  • Preferred: Experience with Autodesk Plant3D, Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, BIM 360/ACC Docs, Autodesk Assemble, and CMiC
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Primavera scheduling/project management software
  • Must complete pre-employment screening, including drug and background check
