About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner cross-functionally, anticipating service and security requirements and enhancing IT services and operational efficiency
- Provide technical management and support for IT projects, including system migrations, upgrades, data storage, cloud systems, and access
- Leverage modern tools, including AI, to streamline and maximize efficiencies
- Develop and ensure adherence to internal controls and data privacy requirements
- Manage the outsourced IT provider and other vendors, monitoring operational metrics and service responsiveness
- Maintain an inventory of third-party vendors with access to internal and cloud-based systems
- Develop and maintain qualified vendor criteria, including annual SOC reports and cybersecurity insurance
- Oversee and collaborate on corporate cybersecurity efforts
- Act as an onsite point of contact for technical questions and support help desk operations
- Test and evaluate new software and hardware
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of IT hardware and software
- Ensure regularly scheduled backups of vital corporate applications
- Ensure a smooth and effective IT onboarding process for new employees
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of corporate or in-house experience
- Previous public company background and/or experience in a regulated environment a strong plus
- Proven track record of success as an IT Manager/Sr. Engineer, or other relevant leadership position
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- Advanced degree may be a plus
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) a plus
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
