About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary contact for consumer and business members seeking financial solutions
  • Build relationships by understanding member needs and providing exceptional service
  • Recommend deposit products, loan solutions, wealth management services, and insurance/protection products
  • Open new memberships and accounts while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance
  • Conduct financial needs assessments and loan interviews
  • Recommend lending and financial solutions based on member goals and circumstances
  • Process loan applications and maintain required documentation
  • Conduct outbound calls to members, prospects, and Select Employer Groups
  • Participate in community events, networking, and business development activities
  • Promote MyPoint Credit Union products and services to generate new business
  • Identify opportunities for referrals and additional services
  • Perform notary services as needed
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when the Branch Manager is absent
  • Support team initiatives, branch success, and assigned projects
  • When assigned to the call center, schedule appointments, assist with card services, review Remote Deposit Access requests, respond to digital inquiries, and support online and mobile banking
  • Follow applicable laws, regulations, policies, security procedures, and fraud-prevention requirements
  • Protect the confidentiality of member information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of financial services, banking, credit union, retail sales, or customer service experience
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building, sales, or business development
  • Experience using technology, mobile applications, and digital platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional member service
  • Current Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) registration or the ability to obtain registration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and financial services systems
  • Credit union or banking experience preferred
  • Consumer lending experience preferred
  • Notary Public certification preferred
  • Community involvement, networking, or business development experience preferred
