About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide customer support for assigned NAVSUP Business Systems Center supply and logistics applications
- Receive, clarify, research, resolve, or escalate incidents, service requests, data questions, and functional issues
- Communicate status, next steps, and resolution information to users
- Maintain functional knowledge of applications, workflows, business rules, data elements, interfaces, and dependencies
- Write SQL queries to investigate data issues and respond to authorized customer data calls
- Execute approved SQL data corrections within assigned permissions and change-control procedures
- Analyze stored procedures, views, schemas, and database objects to trace business logic and data issues
- Support triage and resolution of production outages and recurring application problems
- Validate corrections and application behavior through functional or regression checks and document test evidence
- Create and maintain auditable work items in Azure DevOps, transitioning to Jira
- Gather and clarify customer requirements and translate them into tickets or user stories with acceptance criteria
- Coordinate with developers, database administrators, testers, cybersecurity personnel, Government product leadership, and end users
- Apply web-application hosting knowledge to isolate issues across presentation, application, integration, and database layers
- Develop support procedures, knowledge-base articles, data-correction records, FAQs, user guidance, and knowledge-transfer materials
- Participate in Agile events, demonstrations, training, and knowledge transfer
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of required experience providing customer-facing support for business applications
- Hands-on SQL experience using SELECT queries, joins, filters, aggregations, subqueries, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements
- Experience with controlled data corrections, transactions, validation, rollback considerations, least privilege, and production data-change risks
- Ability to read and trace stored procedures, views, schemas, and relational data structures
- Ability to document reproducible issues, analyze root causes, validate corrections, preserve evidence, and explain findings to technical and nontechnical customers
- Working knowledge of web-application hosting fundamentals and presentation, application, integration, and database layers
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or a comparable ticketing/Agile system
- Ability to satisfy Navy onboarding, investigation, CAC, DD 2875, training, NDA, and system-access requirements
- Current Security+ CE certification required at hire for DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain the Government-determined background investigation, CAC, DD 2875, mandatory training, NDA, and application/database access
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data management, business, or related field preferred; equivalent education, technical training, and directly relevant experience may be considered
- Preferred: experience with Oracle databases and Oracle SQL/PL/SQL
- Preferred: Navy, Department of Defense, supply, logistics, readiness, or regulated mission applications experience
- Preferred: production outages, incident/problem management, release validation, configuration/change control, and post-resolution monitoring
- Preferred: Azure DevOps and Jira, including ticket migration or transition
- Preferred: web/application-server logs, APIs, middleware, service-based architectures, or web-application troubleshooting
- Preferred: functional testing, requirements clarification, Microsoft Excel, user training, support documentation, and structured knowledge transfer
