About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build high-quality features aligned with Napier’s technical vision and architecture
Develop, debug, and unit test product features according to internal procedures and standards
Diagnose and solve functional and performance/scalability issues when required
Improve technical practices toward a continuously releasable end state, especially GitHub, CI/CD, and development processes
Continually improve technical debt and evolve the system to meet changing needs and market opportunities
Build and maintain the financial crime detection engine used by financial institutions globally
Collaborate as a hands-on member of the core Engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on programming experience – Go
Experience with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub
Experience with Azure and AWS or GCP and data processing in cloud
Database and SQL development experience, especially PostgreSQL
Collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working with remote engineering teams and distributed delivery models
Preferred: experience with Kotlin or Java
Preferred: experience with analytics engines, especially Elasticsearch
Preferred: experience with Keycloak
Preferred: experience with ETL tools
Preferred: performance engineering principles and tools
Preferred: CI/CD and DevOps tooling
Preferred: OpenTelemetry and related observability tools, especially Grafana and Prometheus
