About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Learn and develop an understanding of vulnerability and cloud security posture management risk assessment in cloud environments
- Assist in analyzing and prioritizing security vulnerabilities in Nasdaq Verafin's cloud infrastructure
- Help coordinate remediation efforts
- Enforce Cloud Security Posture Management findings
- Work with security and operational teams across the organization to ensure security standards are met
- Assess and improve security processes and tool usage to strengthen the overall security posture
- Collaborate with security analysts while investigating challenging security problems and assisting in securing cloud environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in and continuing enrollment in a diploma or degree program in Security Management, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong desire to develop skills in threat and vulnerability management, container security, logging/monitoring tools, cloud security best practices, and security architecture
- Strong analytical skills
- Curiosity about how security protects technology and people
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively across teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and developing security best practices
- Applicants must include a copy of their most recent transcript when uploading a resume
- Nice-to-have: AWS Cloud experience, including Well Architected Framework and Security Best Practices
- Nice-to-have: Development or cloud development experience, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with vulnerability management tools, container security tools, or monitoring platforms
- Nice-to-have: Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, AWS SSA, or equivalent
