Director of Student Programming
National FFA Organization. Manage, coordinate, coach, and develop WLC facilitators on site .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, coordinate, coach, and develop WLC facilitators on site
- Ensure successful delivery of student programming
- Lead regular staff meetings
- Provide ongoing individual and team coaching
- Oversee curriculum and program delivery
- Provide leadership and support to facilitators throughout each conference week
- Address student needs and disciplinary concerns
- Collaborate with the Director of Chaperone Programming and Program Coordinator on conference operations and participant needs
- Make responsible spending decisions within the established program budget
- Serve as the primary contact for National FFA staff
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the Program Specialist or Program Manager
- Participate in mandatory training weeks and conference operations in Washington, D.C.
- Potentially facilitate up to five conference weeks
- Complete cleanup responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to perform the mental and physical demands of the position
- Must pass a background check and drug screening upon hiring
- Must have dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a frequently changing environment
- Good interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact and work with diverse internal and external people, including members, teachers, state staff, and National staff
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to prioritize, organize, use time-management skills, and multitask
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving/analytical ability
- Computer literacy and ability to make and receive phone calls
- Confidence speaking in front of small and large groups
- Ability to provide and receive feedback with a growth mindset and collaborative demeanor
- Personal access to and ability to use a computer or laptop
- High School Diploma and some college
- At minimum, one year of experience as a National FFA conference facilitator
- First Aid/CPR certification required
- Must complete three mandatory training weeks
Benefits
Comp & perks- Compensation for mandatory training weeks: $826, $495, and $826
- Conference-week compensation of $1,218 per week
- Cleanup compensation of $296
