Program Coordinator
National FFA Organization. Support the on-site implementation and supervision of student and chaperone programming during the Washington Leadership Conference .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the on-site implementation and supervision of student and chaperone programming during the Washington Leadership Conference
- Coordinate logistical and participant needs across the conference
- Provide leadership coverage across student and chaperone programming
- Support WLC facilitators and program delivery
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Programming and Director of Chaperone Programming
- Maintain awareness of both student and chaperone programming and provide additional leadership and support as needed
- Manage transportation schedules for student and chaperone programming
- Communicate with transportation vendors and respond to schedule changes
- Support participant needs and concerns
- Assist with on-site logistics and vendor coordination
- Provide leadership during participant transitions and conference activities
- Make responsible spending decisions within the established program budget
- Participate in mandatory training weeks
- Facilitate assigned pre-developed content during each conference
- Coordinate corporate partner visits, in person or virtually
- Complete expense reports, travel scheduling, and related administrative duties
- Communicate conference changes and updates with National FFA staff
- Receive and implement feedback throughout the conference season
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to perform the mental and physical demands of the position
- Must pass a background check and drug screening upon hiring
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a frequently changing environment
- Strong interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including members, teachers, state staff, and National FFA staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Accuracy, attention to detail, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Computer literacy and ability to make and receive phone calls
- Confidence speaking in front of small and large groups
- Ability to provide and receive feedback with a growth mindset and collaborative demeanor
- Personal access to and ability to use a computer or laptop
- High school diploma required
- Some college coursework or a bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience as a National FFA conference facilitator or in agricultural education
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Applicants selected for this position will be ineligible to run for National FFA Office or serve on the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee
