About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop structured, time-bound project plans for Advancement priorities, including campaigns, appeals, events, and donor initiatives
- Establish and manage project governance, intake, prioritization, and approval workflows
- Partner with Advancement VPs to set priorities, align resources, and balance the portfolio against strategic goals and capacity
- Maintain a centralized view of active and upcoming work
- Identify risks, constraints, and competing priorities and drive mitigation strategies and trade-offs
- Coordinate execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, dependencies, and critical paths
- Engage stakeholders to maintain alignment, surface risks, and build confidence in delivery timelines
- Drive consistent, on-time delivery through coordination, follow-ups, and escalation
- Monitor project health, resolve issues, and sustain delivery momentum
- Improve delivery practices to increase efficiency, predictability, and quality
- Act as a central coordination partner across Advancement
- Clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations to strengthen collaboration
- Manage Monday.com as the system of record for project tracking, workflows, and reporting
- Build and maintain executive dashboards with real-time visibility into progress, risks, ownership, and milestones
- Implement automated workflows and reporting
- Ensure platform adoption, data integrity, and scalability across Advancement
- Deliver actionable project reporting and insights to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or operations roles, preferably in a non-profit environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project and program management expertise delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives using risk management, dependency mapping, and governance best practices
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools
- Advanced experience in Monday.com for workflow design, tracking, and reporting
- PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred
- Understanding of Advancement, fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, or higher education environments
- Familiarity with change management principles and driving adoption of new tools/processes
- Exposure to marketing, communications, or campaign-based work environments
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
