About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate an individualized plan of care across the continuum with attending practitioners, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Communicate care plans to key stakeholders and facilitate safe, timely discharge to the next level of care
- Ensure high-quality care is delivered efficiently and cost-effectively using clinical expertise and best practices
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
- Participate in emergency response preparedness as needed
- Train and develop new and existing staff, including peer evaluation
- Participate in workflow changes, data collection, auditing, quality improvement initiatives, and relevant departmental meetings
- Provide after-hours services through assigned on-call availability
- Float to all NCH NICUs
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSN required at hire; BSN must be achieved within five years of hire if not already achieved
- Current Ohio RN License required
- Three years of clinical nursing experience required
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
- Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and required training
- Must maintain qualification under hospital insurance guidelines
- Pediatric Nurse or Case Management certifications desirable but not required
- Skills in communication, collaboration, leadership, multidisciplinary team facilitation, critical thinking, and problem solving
