About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in carpentry, painting, and general trades-related work
- Assist in the maintenance, painting, and repair of equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on equipment or tools to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Read and interpret materials to understand the operation of equipment, systems, or standards of application
- Collaborate with team members to identify and troubleshoot equipment and systems issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, time spent, and tasks completed
- Participate in training programs and courses to develop technical skills and knowledge
- Make progress toward and complete the apprenticeship within an appropriate timeframe
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Able to read and follow written directives and document actions taken or follow-up actions as needed
- Able to work from ladders and scaffolding as assigned (Not afraid of heights)
- Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, standing, walking, and working outdoors
- Comfortable talking on the phone and in person
