About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Explain business performance and recommend management actions through data analytics in a client-facing role
Develop processes enabling distribution and understanding of insights across the wider bank
Use insights to drive effective business decision-making
Build and deliver franchise analytics and insights using financial and business performance data, including balance sheet and P&L
Develop and maintain statistical profitability models and associated analytics
Provide actionable management information on model performance
Provide insight through analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve business strategy through product, proposition, target operating model, and pricing levers
Improve analytical outputs, team approaches, and processes
Work with managers to maximise team performance and effectiveness
Share technical expertise to improve team capability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified to degree level in a numerate discipline
Extensive banking or financial services experience
Data-driven analysis and consulting skills
Experience in analytical and data science, including SQL, Python, and Tableau or an equivalent
Understanding of stakeholder products, propositions, customers, customer journeys, markets, and competitors
Broad experience of risk and finance systems, methodologies, and processes in a retail or wholesale banking environment
Understanding of the regulatory regime and risk management and control processes applicable to businesses within the financial services industry
Consultancy skills; a consultancy background is not essential
