Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure and robust solutions
Work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts and tools
Liaise with engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform
Produce complex and critical software rapidly and to a high quality
Work in permanent teams responsible for the full lifecycle from initial development through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
Collaborate to optimise software engineering capability
Design, produce, test and implement software solutions
Work across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in software engineering, software design and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience designing, building and delivering Java-based microservices and APIs
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Knowledge of Open Banking flows, API-based integrations, multi-tier architectures, and security protocols such as OAuth and mTLS
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or PCF
Understanding of software design principles, microservices architecture and engineering best practices
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, unit testing, code reviews, deployment and ongoing maintenance
Experience implementing automated testing and code coverage practices
