Join a core cross-functional mission team to build and develop Mettle
Develop clean, elegant, reusable, well-tested, maintainable, and extensible code
Work with stakeholders across the business to influence Mettle Engineering direction

Collaborate across the backend chapter to uphold standards, best practices, and innovation

Support and oversee junior engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong background in software engineering, software design, or database design and architecture
Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development
Strong experience with Spring Boot / Micronaut
Understanding of Kubernetes / Docker
Excellent understanding of AWS deployment and configuration
Experience with message-driven architectures / Kafka / event sourcing
Experience working on a highly secure application
Understanding of translating business objectives into data-driven insight
