About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop data-driven insights and analytics solutions to identify and monitor conduct, compliance and regulatory risks across the organisation
- Work closely with compliance stakeholders to define questions, problems and opportunities supported by advanced analytics
- Design efficient, simple and automated processes where possible
- Deliver data and analytics expertise and solutions that enhance regulatory compliance, strengthen risk oversight and support informed decision making
- Communicate data and analytics opportunities and help compliance stakeholders select the best approach for business needs
- Use new tools, technologies and methodologies to carry out advanced analytics
- Design intuitive dashboards, metrics and management information supporting risk-based decision making and oversight
- Share relevant updates with stakeholders, connecting advanced analytics, data science and data engineering work to business needs
- Consult with stakeholders to understand needs and identify suitable data and analytics solutions
- Bring advanced analytics to life through meaningful visualisation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for data and analytics
- Knowledge of data architecture, key tooling and relevant coding languages
- Proficiency in advanced analytics
- Ability to simplify data into clear data visualisations and compelling insight using appropriate systems and tooling
- Good financial services knowledge
- Ability to identify wider business impact, risk and opportunities, making connections across key outputs and processes
- Strong knowledge of data management principles
- Experience working with large datasets within cloud-based data environments
- Experience using SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse data, including gathering, cleaning and transforming data from multiple sources
- Experience using Python for data preparation, analysis and visualisation, including libraries such as Plotly
- Exposure to JavaScript
- Dashboard design and data visualisation experience and best practices
- Knowledge of data engineering, data science and decisioning disciplines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and translate data into key insights
