About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, maintain, test, and optimise scalable data architecture
Extract data, transform it for use by data analysts and scientists, and load it into data platforms
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s data structures and metrics
Advocate change for product development
Practice DevOps adoption in data engineering delivery
Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues
Collaborate with core technology and architecture teams to build data knowledge and solutions
Understand data platform cost levers and build cost-effective, strategic solutions
Source new data using appropriate tooling and integrate it into overall solutions
Participate actively in the data engineering community and support the bank’s strategic direction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of how data is used across teams and by end customers
Experience extracting value and features from large-scale datasets
Expertise in data integration, transformation, and orchestration within Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
Strong SQL skills
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Deep technical expertise in Entity Resolution, including fuzzy matching, deterministic matching, and machine learning-based matching techniques
Experience designing and delivering data ingestion and integration solutions using Informatica IDMC, including Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration, APIs, and real-time or batch processing patterns
Experience configuring and managing match rules, survivorship rules, and clustering logic
Experience integrating Entity Resolution with Data Quality and downstream applications
Experience implementing data quality frameworks
Experience with ETL solution design, data quality testing, data cleansing, monitoring, data warehousing, and data modelling
Knowledge of modern software and data engineering practices, including programming languages and secure, scalable development approaches
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
