About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a set of environments used by platform applications
- Act as a point of contact for environment-related activities
- Assist environment managers in preparing a rolling environmental strategy considering stability and resilience risks
- Assist environment managers with complex and critical environment-related activities
- Create stories and features for the domain backlog
- Improve efficiency, resilience, reliability, quality, and manual inconsistency through automation and virtualisation
- Support management of non-production environments
- Maintain non-production environment dashboards
- Focus on customer value and provide a positive customer experience
- Introduce automated and virtualised environments to increase speed, efficiency, quality, resilience, and reliability
- Understand upcoming work and customer vision to respond quickly to environment-related needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank and third-party suppliers to optimise platform environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8+ years of IT experience in Environment/Infrastructure management
- Extensive experience with networking technologies including LAN, WAN, load balancing, and firewalls; ideally F5 and Fortinet
- Experience using observability tools and techniques
- Ability to use data, information, and user sentiment to continuously improve solutions
- Hands-on and in-depth experience in AWS and PCF
- Good knowledge of GCP and Azure
- Cloud environment management experience across private and public clouds, including Kubernetes and Docker
- Familiarity with Unix, Postgres, and MongoDB
- Expertise in AWS Networking, including VPC and DX-connect
- Expertise in AWS EKS, EC2 Autoscaling, ECR, AWS SES, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, and Karpenter
- Familiarity with deployment and configuration of SpringBoot applications in Cloud
- Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines
- Experience scripting in Python, Terraform, Ansible, Unix Shell, and PowerShell
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Splunk, and ServiceNow
- Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
