About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, administer, and coordinate nursing within the assigned territory according to company standards, policies, regulations, and accrediting-body guidelines
  • Plan, organize, administer, and supervise health services within the assigned territory
  • Maintain a total quality management program for all aspects of patient care
  • Assist the Area Director of Nursing in meeting operational and financial goals
  • Oversee assigned nursing team activities, scheduling, and administrative duties
  • Implement policies and procedures and oversee nursing staff selection, development, and monitoring
  • Supervise and evaluate direct-care staff, including onboarding, performance evaluations, discipline, and terminations
  • Review time entry for direct reports and identify events outside expected visit durations
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines; serve as home health agency Administrator when applicable
  • Ensure nurses maintain professional standards of nursing practice
  • Coordinate patient services with pharmacy, delivery, reimbursement, and other internal and external departments
  • Assess, manage, report, and analyze nursing operational and financial data; develop process improvement plans
  • Organize patient-specific information to determine suitability for home care
  • Assist with continuing education for nurses on home care infusion-related topics
  • Participate in nursing department on-call responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care with the Area Director of Nursing
  • Facilitate a clinical networking system and act as a clinical resource
  • Provide flexible regional leadership coverage based on operational needs, vacancies, leaves, transitions, growth initiatives, or other needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license in the current state of practice
  • At minimum 1 year of infusion care experience
  • 1 year of nursing oversight, including charge nurse, supervisory or managerial experience
  • Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients, evidenced by documented previous work experience
  • Knowledge and competency in patient management skills, including the nursing process
  • Knowledge of documentation and requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services
  • Experience using time management skills, prioritizing/organizing and tracking details, and meeting deadlines for multiple projects
  • Experience providing training and education on clinical services processes, documentation, and user manuals
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods within a home office setting
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time for business purposes, within state and out of state
