About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a lead for certain general accounting functions.
Prepare monthly internal and board financial statements.
Run monthly department statements and distribute them to department leaders.
Prepare and enter journal entries for investments, fixed assets, and accruals across Navitus business entities.
Review and approve month-end close entries.
Perform variance analysis of financial data.
Collaborate on year-end financial audit deliverables.
Collaborate on capital project accounting.
Oversee fixed asset administration.
Assist with maintaining the chart of accounts for multiple entities and ensure correct account mapping.
Assist with state and federal tax filing requirements.
Coordinate and prepare business insurance renewal requirements.
Assist with forecasting and budgeting.
Assist accounting leadership with the annual finance departmental budget.
Support implementation and maintenance of controls to mitigate risk, improve accuracy, and ensure GAAP compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
CPA strongly preferred.
5 years of Accounting experience required.
1 year of experience in Public Accounting or 2 years in a Technical Accounting role in a corporate setting required.
Experience with accounting software, preferably Oracle, required.
Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred.
Advanced Excel skills including demonstrated proficiency with VLOOKUP, SUMIF and CONCATENATE formulas as well as pivot tables required.
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
Work schedule: 8 am - 5 pm CT; some after hours expected.
