About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and direct the day-to-day operations of the Prior Authorization team
Lead by example through subject matter expertise and coach Prior Authorization Specialists
Drive team success toward key performance indicators, provider and patient satisfaction, and workflow improvement
Obtain information and assist providers and insurance companies in triaging prior authorizations for specialty pharmacy patients
Resolve operational challenges and serve as an escalation point for associates
Educate and assist other Lumicera areas with prior authorization duties
Assign daily tasks, provide guidance in complex problem-solving scenarios, and drive accountability for team KPI goals
Train new and existing Prior Authorization Specialists on core responsibilities, including RxVector, NCRX, Lighthouse, Banjo, Cover My Meds, phone platforms, documentation, and communication
Identify and present workflow and process improvement opportunities
Support associates with new protocols, workflows, information dissemination, and operational questions
Assist with prior authorization workflows, phones, and work queues for patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals
Support compliance and diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED required
National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per associate’s residing state’s requirements
2+ years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience required
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
