Key responsibilities & impact

Implement core deep-learning, computer vision, and inverse procedural modeling algorithms in Python
Apply machine learning and computer graphics research to real-world problems
Use linear algebra, probability, and geometry to build systems
Work with cofounders to understand product vision and translate customer requirements into technical milestones
Interact with remote machines via a Unix shell to deploy and test code on large-scale geospatial datasets
Generate 3D content for customers
Use Git to manage source code and modularize complex implementation tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
3+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
Proven experience as a Deep Learning Engineer or Applied Research Engineer
Experience training and debugging artificial neural networks or adjacent experience, such as gradient descent, nonlinear optimization, or classical machine learning
Strong mathematical background covering linear algebra, statistics, probability, and numerical methods
Fluency with Python, Git, and the Unix shell
Preferred prior experience with modern C++ to interface with data ingestion and product pipelines
Experience in complex multidisciplinary industries such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace valued
Effective collaboration and ability to work closely with a founding team
High attention to detail and ability to meet key R&D milestones in an early-stage startup environment
