About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain client and agency files
  • Enter, review, validate, and maintain agency management system data
  • Provide basic to moderately complex internal helpdesk support to agency personnel
  • Conduct research using the agency management system and carrier websites
  • Meet department key performance metrics, service time, and quality standards
  • Work with colleagues in a team-based environment
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing documents for all departments and branches
  • Retrieve, scan, and attach documents to customer files
  • Launch workflows for agency personnel in the agency management system
  • Research, validate, and enter agency file data according to workflows and guidelines
  • Process daily interface items and downloaded data, including commissions management
  • Process billing items received from carriers or internal staff
  • Respond to basic to moderately complex inquiries and technical troubleshooting requests regarding agency management and other software systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Some degree of travel may be necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree and 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of technical support experience and/or insurance agency management system experience preferred
  • Property & Casualty Broker's license and/or Life, Accident, and Health license, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the agency management system
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, pay attention to detail, and focus on quality
  • Ability to analyze data, research problems, and make sound decisions using own judgment, manuals, and available resources
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Effective verbal and business writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employer is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa
