About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor security events and alerts through Splunk Enterprise Security
- Investigate and triage security incidents in accordance with established procedures
- Perform threat detection, log analysis, and event correlation
- Escalate significant security incidents to senior analysts and management
- Assist with threat hunting and vulnerability remediation activities
- Create and maintain incident documentation and reports
- Contribute to the development of SIEM use cases and SOC playbooks
- Analyse alerts, investigate incidents, and help strengthen cyber defence capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a SOC or cyber security operations role
- Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and security monitoring tools
- Understanding of network security, endpoint security, and common attack techniques
- Familiarity with incident response processes and threat intelligence
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, Splunk Certified User, or equivalent are desirable
