About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build applications using Golang
- Support component design, development, and maintenance
- Take responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team
- Assist with defining structured practices in source code management, building, and deployment
- Design and implement data storage solutions
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Gather feedback from users and clients and build solutions for them
- Assist with analysis of client requirements
- Work with and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery
- Collaborate with client teams
- Work closely with clients to translate complex business requirements into innovative digital products
- Collaborate with distributed teams to build secure, high-performance applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level; typically at least 6 years’ commercial experience
- Practical experience delivering in an agile environment
- Practical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions
- Deep knowledge of Golang
- Deep understanding of version control tools, e.g. Git
- Testing experience and familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools
- Practical real-world experience with databases and cloud environments
- Experience with automation, CI, and CD
- Experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Professional proficiency in English
- Next.js experience preferred
- Experience in Python and AI/ML libraries
- Knowledge of data science techniques, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Financial services experience desired but not essential
