About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Neighbor.com’s marketplace
  • Produce high quality software that enhances the customer experience
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Leverage TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, the AWS ecosystem, and other technologies to create scalable, performant, automated systems
  • Help define product features and develop consumer marketplace technologies
  • Influence system architecture and product quality
  • Take significant ownership of engineering work in an early-stage company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of full-time software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
  • Willing to work out of our Utah office location
  • Great attitude and desire to create a positive, team-focused work environment
  • Flexibility (we wear a lot of hats)
  • Availability work on-site at our Lehi, UT location
  • Experience with React, Ruby/Rails, AWS, TypeScript, or PostgreSQL is a nice to have
  • DevOps experience is a nice to have
  • Machine-learning / Data Science experience is a nice to have
  • Technical leadership is a nice to have
