About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the local IT contact for approximately 160 users at The Squaire at Frankfurt Airport and the Raunheim site
- Keep local IT systems running reliably and continuously improve IT service operations
- Provide on-site, telephone and remote support for hardware, software, communication equipment and Microsoft 365
- Handle incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
- Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops and mobile devices
- Manage user accounts, access rights, hardware and software inventories, and basic network components
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
- Support the VMware virtualization environment
- Assist with backup and recovery processes using Veeam
- Support compliance with IT security standards and company policies
- Maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with external service providers and regional and global IT teams
- Contribute to local and international IT projects, including solution design, testing, documentation and implementation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in IT, ideally as an IT specialist in systems integration, or an equivalent IT qualification
- Relevant experience in IT support and/or systems administration
- Sound practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server environments, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Experience with VMware or comparable virtualization solutions
- Basic knowledge of networks, backup solutions and IT infrastructure
- High level of motivation, reliability and accountability
- Structured and independent approach to work
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and identify suitable technical solutions
- Strong service and customer focus
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly and understandably to non-IT audiences
- Good German language skills
- Very good English language skills
- Ability to communicate confidently in an international IT environment
