About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support local IT systems and users for approximately 160 employees using desktop and mobile devices
- Provide on-site, telephone, and remote support for hardware, software, communications equipment, and Microsoft 365
- Process incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, notebooks, and mobile devices
- Manage user accounts and permissions, and maintain hardware and software inventories
- Administer the Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environment
- Support the operation of the VMware virtualization environment
- Assist with backup and recovery processes using Veeam
- Support IT security standards and corporate policies
- Maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with external service providers as well as regional and global IT teams
- Contribute to local and international IT projects, including solution design, testing, documentation, and implementation of new solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in IT, ideally as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or an equivalent IT qualification
- Relevant experience in IT support and/or system administration
- Good, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Experience with VMware or comparable virtualization solutions
- Basic knowledge of networking, backup solutions, and IT infrastructure
- High level of motivation, reliability, and sense of responsibility
- Structured and independent approach to work
- Ability to quickly understand technical interrelationships and take a solution-oriented approach
- Strong service and customer orientation
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly and understandably to non-technical audiences
- Good command of German and excellent command of English
