About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and complete Post Investment Reviews for qualifying Investment Appraisals under the Group PIR framework and agreed timetable
  • Compare original investment appraisal or business case assumptions with actual revenue, net revenue, margin, EBITDA, capex, opex and other KPI performance
  • Identify and quantify drivers of over- and under-performance with Finance, Commercial and Operational stakeholders
  • Assess whether financial and strategic benefits from original investment appraisals have been realized
  • Identify practical actions to improve existing contracts and investments, track actions and maintain PIR records
  • Identify recurring trends such as forecast bias, pricing issues, cost assumptions and execution challenges
  • Apply PIR insights to future Investment Appraisals and business cases
  • Develop historical performance benchmarks to test revenue, margin, cost and investment assumptions
  • Support consistent benefits realization and commercial performance measurement
  • Maintain and administer regional rate cards, coordinating reviews and refreshes
  • Monitor approved rate-card usage and analyze discounting and pricing performance
  • Support governance of rate-card deviations and analyze financial impacts of pricing changes
  • Build relationships with regional Finance, Commercial, Sales and Operational teams
  • Present PIR findings and recommendations to senior regional stakeholders
  • Serve as a regional contact for Group Commercial Finance on PIRs, benefits realization and rate-card governance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification
  • Ideally 2–3 years of post-qualified experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or a similar analytical role
  • Demonstrable post-qualified experience operating at Senior Finance Analyst level
  • Strong financial analysis, Excel and modelling skills
  • Firm grasp of P&L, revenue, margin and EBITDA drivers
  • Experience reviewing business cases, commercial contracts, investment proposals or project profitability
  • Ability to translate financial and operational data into clear commercial insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex analysis clearly and challenging assumptions constructively
  • Experience in a project, contract or service-based business, ideally multi-region or international
  • Experience of pricing, rate cards, commercial bids or contract profitability analysis
  • Experience of investment appraisal, benefits realization or post-investment reviews, ideally in a private equity-backed or performance-focused environment
  • Commercially minded, analytical and proactive; able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across Finance, Commercial and Operations
