About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive financial support to the factory and Factory Financial Controller
  • Provide visibility of costing-related situations through variance control and value-adding insights
  • Support CAPEX activities, including financial validation
  • Challenge assumptions and support cost-saving improvement projects
  • Analyze and report monthly actuals and dynamic forecasts
  • Participate in month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations
  • Identify and promote cost-reduction initiatives
  • Prepare and coordinate the factory standard cost budget, forecasts, revisions, and simulations
  • Identify and drive cost-improvement opportunities using financial insight and benchmarking
  • Support implementation of robust internal controls over factory assets and liabilities
  • Develop the factory’s understanding of financial data and financial capabilities
  • Drive and support the factory’s NCE journey
  • Ensure financial compliance across the factory
  • Deputise for the Factory Financial Controller as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Part or fully qualified Accountant
  • Ideally, breadth of Finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong aptitude for creatively finding solutions to problems
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Understanding of how decisions impact wider business strategy
  • Prior costing or factory accounting experience would be an added advantage
  • Great communication skills enabling influence across all levels
  • Ability to develop positive cross-business relationships
  • Flexibility when prioritising work in an ambiguous environment
  • Results-focused and curious approach
