About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize and perform work related to pet care, palatability, or nutritional testing under general supervision
  • Accurately and reliably record data as outlined by requesting project scientists
  • Collect and process samples for standard and non-standard nutrition tests
  • Obtain animal body weights and Body Condition Scoring (BCS)
  • Provide daily feedings and basic grooming
  • Report sick or unusual pet behavior to veterinary staff
  • Ensure pets receive high-quality care while participating in cutting-edge pet food research

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • 2+ years of professional animal handling/husbandry and/or regular care of animals
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and the Nestlé Purina R&D Petcare Manual
  • Adherence to Nestlé Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science/Zoology or related field is preferred
  • Position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
