About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on mechanical utilities systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair and optimize utilities systems supporting manufacturing operations
  • Work cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering and production personnel to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Monitor, maintain and repair compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, domestic water, hot water, refrigeration and fire systems
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities
  • Use diagrams, schematics, CMMS, mechanical and electrical tools, and diagnostic instruments
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action to reduce unplanned stoppages
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
  • Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting and welding in an industrial environment
  • Model safety and train other team members on utilities expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical utilities systems and equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of hands-on operating experience toward a High Pressure Boiler Operator License or Stationary Engineer License issued by the state of Ohio
  • Must be willing to work 6 p.m.-6 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule
  • This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
