About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support control systems for daily manufacturing operations independently and collaboratively
  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues
  • Provide instrumentation, PLC, and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
  • Engage in control system software and electrical upgrades
  • Assist with capital project implementations
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of Corporate Control System Standards and Guidelines
  • Maintain electrical drawings and participate in continuing education
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Test, diagnose, repair, and maintain production electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls
  • Utilize safe work practices for voltages up to 480VAC and 600VDC

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma / GED equivalent and 3+ years’ applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments; OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline and 1+ years’ applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments
  • Working knowledge of Corporate Control System Standards and Guidelines
  • Understanding of the design, programming, and troubleshooting of process instruments, PLCs, and HMIs
  • Working knowledge of tools and test equipment for testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls
  • Ability to work safely with all voltages up to 480VAC and 600VDC
